✨ What you’ll be working on

If you enjoy building client relationships, solving problems before they turn into bigger ones, and helping teams grow together, this remote Customer Success Manager role at ClearDesk could be worth a look.

ClearDesk is hiring for a Customer Success Manager in India to support U.S. clients, manage ongoing partnerships, and make sure both clients and remote team members are getting real value from the relationship. This is not a basic support role. It’s more of a relationship + strategy + account growth role, where you’ll be the person keeping client accounts healthy, stable, and moving in the right direction.

If you like being the go-to person for clients, enjoy solving issues early, and can balance strategy with day-to-day communication, this one has a lot going for it.

About ClearDesk

ClearDesk was built around a simple idea: great talent isn’t limited by geography.

The founders started by building remote teams for their own businesses across countries like the Philippines, Colombia, and India. Once they saw how well global remote teams could work, they turned that experience into ClearDesk.

Today, ClearDesk helps U.S. businesses build and manage remote teams, while also creating long-term work opportunities for professionals across different countries. The company supports clients through the full journey, from hiring to retention, while trying to create stable and meaningful remote careers for its team members.

What you’ll be working on

Your day-to-day work may include:

  • Building strong relationships with client decision-makers and team leads
  • Guiding clients through onboarding and success planning
  • Understanding client pain points, business goals, and growth opportunities
  • Acting as a strategic advisor instead of just a reactive support contact
  • Monitoring client health and engagement metrics to spot risks early
  • Handling concerns, escalations, and difficult conversations professionally
  • Identifying account expansion opportunities and service improvements
  • Running regular check-ins with existing clients
  • Working closely with Sales, Recruiting, HR, Finance, and Operations teams
  • Representing the client’s feedback internally to improve service delivery
  • Keeping HubSpot updated with notes, tasks, and action items

What they’re looking for

This role is a good fit for someone who knows how to manage client relationships without being overly pushy, can handle multiple accounts at once, and is comfortable working with both data and people.

Required skills and experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or a similar client-facing role
  • Strong relationship-building skills and experience managing multiple client accounts
  • Ability to stay proactive, organized, and calm under pressure
  • Confidence in handling both strategic client conversations and difficult feedback discussions
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Ability to look at client data, spot patterns, and turn those insights into action
  • Comfortable collaborating across multiple internal teams
  • Ability to work well in a remote-first environment
  • Comfortable using Hubstaff and other remote productivity tools
  • Willingness to work in a US time zone

Technical setup requirements

Because this is a remote role, ClearDesk expects candidates to have a reliable work-from-home setup.

You’ll need:

  • At least a 720p HD webcam
  • A noise-canceling headset
  • A primary internet connection with at least 25 Mbps speed
  • A backup internet device
  • A backup power source
  • A main computer with at least Intel Core i5 (or equivalent) and 8 GB RAM
  • A backup computer with at least Intel Core i3 and 4 GB RAM
  • A backup laptop if needed for continuity

If you already have a stable home office setup and are used to working remotely, this part should feel pretty standard.

Who should apply?

You should seriously consider this role if:

  • You already work in customer success or account management
  • You enjoy building long-term client relationships instead of one-off support interactions
  • You’re good at balancing client retention, communication, and account growth
  • You’re comfortable talking to U.S.-based clients and working in their time zone
  • You can handle both relationship management and problem-solving
  • You like remote work but also understand the discipline it requires

Why this role stands out

A lot of customer success roles say “relationship building” and “strategic partnership,” but then the actual work ends up being basic follow-ups and ticket chasing. This one feels a bit more involved.

You’d be working directly with clients, guiding onboarding, monitoring account health, handling escalations, and helping identify growth opportunities. So if you want a remote role where you’re not just maintaining accounts but actually helping shape the client experience, this one looks stronger than the average customer success posting.
