✨ What you’ll be working on

PermitFlow is hiring a Permit Operations Lead to manage the full lifecycle of construction permit operations while acting as the primary point of contact for customers across the U.S. and Canada.

This is a senior, customer-facing operations role for professionals with deep experience in construction permitting, compliance, and permit lifecycle management.

You’ll lead teams, oversee permit workflows, coordinate with authorities, and ensure customers have full visibility into timelines, documentation, and approvals.

Important: This role is for candidates with hands-on construction permitting experience.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary customer point of contact for permit status and timelines
• Oversee the end-to-end permit lifecycle: research, documentation, submission, and tracking
• Lead and mentor junior team members with training, feedback, and 1:1s
• Generate detailed reports for customers and stakeholders
• Ensure all permit applications meet jurisdictional compliance standards
• Coordinate with local authorities to expedite approvals
• Improve internal workflows to reduce delays and bottlenecks
• Collaborate across operations, customer success, and product teams

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in construction permitting or project management
• Strong knowledge of permit regulations, compliance, and lifecycle processes
• Experience handling multi-state or multi-region permitting projects
• Leadership experience managing and mentoring team members
• Excellent communication and customer management skills
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work cross-functionally with customers and authorities

Skills That Help

• Experience working in SaaS, tech-driven, or AI-enabled environments
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making
• Experience interacting with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction)

Pay & Benefits

On-Target Earnings: $70,000 – $100,000
