Found something wrong with a job?
You found a job that looked perfect. You clicked Apply.
And… nothing.
The link is dead. Or maybe the job says remote, but the company actually wants people in the US. Maybe the salary doesn’t match what the employer says. Maybe the position isn’t remote anymore.
Or maybe something about the whole listing just feels off.
Tell us. You don’t need to write an essay. You don’t need to explain your entire life story. If something looks wrong, send us the details and we’ll take a look.
What can you report?
Pretty much anything that makes a job listing confusing, outdated, or suspicious.
⏰ The job has expired
The company has filled the position, closed applications, or removed the job.
🔗 The Apply link is broken
You click Apply and get a 404 page, an error, a blank page, or somewhere that clearly isn’t the job application.
💰 The salary is incorrect
The salary shown on Remote4Me doesn’t match the information provided by the employer.
📍 The location is incorrect
The listing says one location or country, but the employer’s actual requirements say something different.
🏠 It’s no longer remote
This happens. A company can change a role from fully remote to hybrid or office-based after a job was published.
🔁 It’s a duplicate
You found the same job listed more than once. One listing is enough. Nobody needs to see the same job three times.
🧐 Something about the company looks wrong
Maybe the company name doesn’t match. Maybe the job description doesn’t make sense. Maybe important information appears to be missing or misleading. If something doesn’t look right, report it.
🚩 It looks suspicious or potentially fake
This one matters. If a job is asking applicants for money, pushing you toward strange websites, requesting unusual personal information, or giving you another reason to think something isn’t right, please tell us. Don’t send money or sensitive information just because a listing looks convincing.
What happens after you report it?
We review the information you send us. If the problem is clear, we’ll update, remove, or correct the listing when appropriate. Sometimes we’ll need to check the employer’s original job page first.
And sometimes a job will look different by the time we check it. That’s normal. Job listings can change fast. A company can close a position five minutes after we checked it. So we can’t promise that every report will result in a change. But we will take useful reports seriously.
You don’t need to be 100% sure
This is important. You don’t have to investigate the company yourself. You don’t need screenshots of ten different pages. You don’t need to prove that the job is fake before contacting us.
If something seems wrong, tell us what you saw. For example:
“The job says remote in India, but the company page now says US only.”
That’s enough to give us somewhere to start.
“The Apply button goes to a 404 page.”
Perfect. Short and useful beats a 500-word explanation.
What makes a good report?
The more specific you can be, the faster we can understand the problem. If possible, include:
- The job title
- The company name
- What appears to be wrong
- What you expected to see
- Any useful details or screenshots
You don’t need to send personal information. Please don’t send your resume, passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information through a job report. We don’t need it.
One small favor
If you are reporting a broken Apply link, please tell us what happened after you clicked it. For example:
Good:
“Apply button sends me to a 404 page.”
Even better:
“Apply button sends me to the company’s careers page, but the job isn’t listed there anymore.”
That gives us something we can actually check.
We’d rather know than leave it broken
We’re a small site. We can’t personally watch every job listing every second of the day. That’s why reports from people actually using the site are valuable.
You might be the first person to notice that a job disappeared. You might catch a wrong salary. You might save another person from wasting 30 minutes on an application that no longer exists. And if something genuinely suspicious is sitting on the site, telling us could save someone from a much bigger headache.
So if you spot something… Don’t just close the tab and move on. Give us a heads-up. We’ll take it from there.
What Remote4Me does with your report
We use your report to investigate the job listing. We don’t use the report as an excuse to collect your resume or build a candidate profile.

Your report simply helps us with the Check part. And when a job is no longer useful, we can remove it. That’s how a job site should work.
