โจ What youโll be working on
Avid is hiring a Technical Support Engineer to provide expert technical support for its professional media and broadcast solutions. This is a fully remote position based in India and follows a night shift schedule aligned with the US Eastern Time (EST) zone.
If you enjoy solving technical problems, supporting enterprise software, and working with video production, cloud, and broadcast technologies, this role offers the opportunity to support customers using some of the industry’s leading creative tools.
What You’ll Do
- Provide technical support across Avid’s video, storage, cloud, and media production solutions.
- Troubleshoot customer issues throughout the entire media production workflow.
- Manage and update support cases using Avid’s case management system.
- Reproduce software bugs and work with Engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Create detailed shift handover notes for global support teams.
- Plan software patches, upgrades, and version compatibility.
- Escalate complex issues to specialist teams when required.
- Ensure customer issues are resolved while meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Media, Electronics, Computing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Experience with technical support or media production environments.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced support team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Avid video editing, storage, or cloud solutions.
- Understanding of post-production workflows and broadcast environments.
- Linux command-line knowledge.
- Programming or scripting experience.
- Additional language skills.
