✨ What you’ll be working on
TurnPoint is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join its remote team. This is a hands-on role focused on supporting clients, managing IT infrastructure, and delivering technical solutions across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networks and Azure environments.
You’ll work on complex technical issues and projects, support junior technicians, maintain client infrastructure, and help improve internal processes and documentation.
This is not a fresher-level role. TurnPoint is looking for someone with real-world systems administration experience and the confidence to handle issues beyond basic Tier 1 support.
What You’ll Do
- Administer and maintain client servers, networks, DNS, updates and hybrid Active Directory environments.
- Provide remote technical support for client systems and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex Windows and Microsoft 365 issues.
- Support physical and virtual network environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policies and domain services.
- Monitor and maintain assigned tickets and technical tasks through completion.
- Act as an escalation point for junior technicians.
- Partner with engineers to implement technical solutions.
- Participate in hardware and software deployments, upgrades and technical projects.
- Conduct security audits and implement appropriate security measures.
- Maintain system configurations, procedures and troubleshooting documentation.
- Follow change-management and other established technical processes.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly with clients.
- Help coach and mentor junior members of the technical team.
Required Experience
Applicants should have:
- Proven professional experience as a Systems Administrator.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Windows 10/11.
- Experience with Windows Server 2022.
- Experience with physical and virtual networks.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and other networking concepts.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies and domain services.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies and tools.
Bonus Skills
Experience with any of these technologies is a plus:
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft 365 Defender
- Windows AutoPilot
- Microsoft 365 Copilot
Remote Work Requirements
This is a work-from-home position. Employees are expected to provide:
- Fixed home internet with at least 20 Mbps upload speed.
- An iPhone capable of running the latest iOS or an Android phone running the current or previous Android version.
- A mobile data plan with voice, text, data and hotspot functionality as a backup connection.
Working Hours
The regular shift is 1 AM–10 AM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday, with occasional after-hours work when required.
During the initial 60–90 day training period, the schedule will be 8 AM–5 PM Pacific Time.
Salary
The salary is competitive and based on experience, with a range of up to ₹40 LPA.
