About the role
As an Implementation Specialist, you’ll guide small and mid-sized accounting firms through the process of getting started with Karbon. You’ll manage onboarding, data migration, configuration, training, and adoption while helping customers get meaningful value from the platform as quickly as possible.
You’ll work closely with firm administrators and key users, keeping projects organized, solving implementation challenges, and making sure customers feel confident using Karbon in their day-to-day work.
The role also makes use of AI tools, including ChatGPT and workflow automation, to improve project planning, customer communication, and implementation processes.
What you’ll do
- Manage customer implementations from kickoff through completion, including project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
- Work with firm administrators and key users to align priorities and keep projects moving.
- Lead kickoff meetings, configuration sessions, onboarding, and customer training.
- Recommend Karbon best practices for workflows and day-to-day processes.
- Help customer teams adapt to new processes and encourage successful adoption.
- Support data migrations, including importing contacts and work items using Excel and other tools.
- Identify implementation risks, delays, and adoption challenges early and escalate them when needed.
- Work with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Support teams to create smooth customer handoffs.
- Help customers reach early milestones and demonstrate value from Karbon.
- Use AI tools and workflow automation to improve implementation planning, communication, and processes.
What they’re looking for
- 2โ4+ years of experience in B2B SaaS implementations.
- Experience managing end-to-end technical software implementations.
- Ability to manage several customer projects at once while keeping priorities organized.
- Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Confidence leading meetings and training administrators and end users.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical way.
- A consultative, curious approach and willingness to learn from feedback.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with data and system configurations.
- Comfortable working with data and ensuring accuracy during migrations.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Bonus points if you have
- Experience in accounting or tax.
- Experience with accounting, workflow, or project management software.
- Background in software onboarding or enterprise implementations.
- Knowledge of change management frameworks.
- Experience working at a startup or high-growth SaaS company.
- Hands-on experience using Karbon.
