✨ What you’ll be working on
You’ll help caregivers understand insurance coverage, expected care costs, and payment options while they begin behavioral health services. The role also involves answering billing questions and working with internal care teams to keep onboarding on track.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Guide caregivers through the financial side of starting care.
- Explain insurance benefits, estimated costs, and payment choices.
- Answer initial billing and insurance questions and direct plan-specific questions to insurers.
- Work with Care Coordination and Clinical teams during onboarding.
- Keep accurate records of caregiver interactions and follow HIPAA privacy requirements.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare customer service, patient access, medical billing, or insurance verification.
- Understanding of health insurance terms, benefits, and prior authorization processes.
- Experience with prior authorization cost-control processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication with good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work remotely.
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
